China Central Television’s annual consumer protection “March 15 Gala” was held Wednesday night, this year slamming Nike for false marketing. The segment on Nike showed the company falsey advertised that a Kobe Bryant shoe style included Zoom Air cushioned soles, which they didn’t, reported Shanghai Securities Daily. The program also called out China’s version of Wikipedia, Hudong Baike for providing inaccurate and sometimes intentionally fraudulent information. China’s Economic News Daily reported that Japanese retailer MUJI was found to be illegally selling products affected by Fukushima radiation.
