IBM has agreed to a partnership with a unit of Chinese property and entertainment firm Dalian Wanda Group, reports Reuters. The partnership will be responsible for distributing, building and operating IBM’s cloud platform in the Chinese market. Restrictions for cloud computing players have made tapping the Chinese market difficult, as Alibaba’s cloud unit continues to expand overseas in an effort to grab market share from Microsoft and Amazon. Research firm Canalys expects the global cloud computing market to reach US$135 billion by 2020.
