A social worker accused of taking videos up the skirt of a colleague at a rehabilitation center jumped out the window of his Sha Tin flat when police arrived at his door to investigate the case.

Four police officers arrived at the 30-year-old man’s home at 4pm at the Greenview Garden residential estate, asking his assistance in their investigation of a reported case of accessing a computer with dishonest intent.

The man, who was only wearing shorts, politely asked the officers to wait a moment so he could get dressed and get the keys to open the door. While the officers were waiting, he jumped out the window. He was pronounced dead at Prince of Wales Hospital.

A woman from the rehabilitation center in Wong Tai sin reported that a video had been taken up her skirt at work on March 25, Apple Daily reported. The 30-year-old man, who worked at the same place, had not been to work since that day.

Two notes were found, one addressed to the man’s parents and the other for his girlfriend, saying that he was stressed and unhappy about some misunderstanding at work, Sing Pao reported, citing a police source.

The police said a preliminary investigation did not suggest the man had any link to the upskirt video case.
