A gang-rape on a bus in New Delhi in 2012 shocked the world and forced the government to adopt tough new measures, but the commission of the heinous crime in moving vehicles continues to plague the capital.
A 35-year-old Rajasthan woman said she was forced into a car by three men who took turns raping her on Monday.
“The victim claimed the men took turns to rape her as the car continued to move, crossing the Delhi-Gurgaon and then the Delhi-Noida border before she was finally thrown out of the car in Greater Noida’s Kasna area,” a police official was quoted as saying.
The victim, who came to Gurgaon in search of work, was spotted by a local and taken to a government hospital.
Three suspects were arrested in Gurgaon on Thursday.
