Suspected North Korean hackers managed to obtain South Korea-US combined operations plans drawn up in the event of full-scale war between the two Koreas, the Chosunilbo reports.

South Korea’s defense ministry admitted the breach in materials requested by lawmaker Rhee Cheo-hee under the freedom-of-information act. The hackers reportedly stole 235 GB of documents from the military’s intranet and other networks.

Plans believed to be compromised include OPLAN 5015, the newest war plan worked out between Seoul and Washington, according to Chosunilbo.

Regarding the details of the plans, Rhee would say only that the plans were designed to bring any conflict to an end quickly, minimizing damage to the South and carrying out pinpoint decapitation operations against top leaders in the North.
