The dead body of 36-year-old Indonesian woman was found lying in a pool of blood at her home in the East Malaysian state of Sarawak on Saturday, and her 35-year-old husband of Chinese origin was held on suspicion of having been involved in her death.
Dev Kumar, chief of the Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department, said the victim’s husband reported the incident at 1:30pm on February 10, Sin Chew Daily (Malaysia) reported last weekend.
The victim was lying in her own blood on the floor of the living room at a house in Kampung Bedup Longgok, Serian district. Officers found evidence that her throat had been cut.
The husband told police he had found the woman’s body after returning home from picking up their eight-year-old daughter from school. However, he was remanded for further investigation on suspicion of murder.
