A 38-year-old Filipino mother was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Wednesday for trafficking minors for online sexual exploitation in Cordova, Cebu, in the Philippines.

At the Cebu City Regional Trial Court on Wednesday, the woman pleaded guilty to sexually abusing and exploiting children online for Australian, American and German customers, the Manila Bulletin reported.

She reportedly exploited eight children, including four of her own, and live-streamed the abuse to her foreign customers, who she charged PHP500 to PHP21,000 (US$9.50 to US$400) for the videos.

One of the victims said the woman forced her and the other children to perform sexual acts in a live-streamed video in an abandoned store that belonged to the woman’s partner.

She faces a 20-year jail term and was ordered to pay a fine of PHP1 million (US$19,047), as well as PHP100,000 in moral damages to each of the victims and PHP100,000 in exemplary damages.
