Eleven foreign women and male customers, as well as the 50-year-old business owner, were arrested by Taipei City police on Friday evening at a three-story massage parlor where sex was allegedly for sale.

At 6:30pm on August 10, the massage parlor on Nanjing East Road in Songshan district was raided by police after a tip-off about the services available there for the past five years, The Liberty Times reported.

While the first and second floors were offering beauty and massage services, the third floor was rented by the parlor owner and served only male customers, allegedly charging NT$3,000 for sex.

Four Indonesian women aged between 22 and 50, none with valid work visas in Taiwan, three Chinese women and four Taiwanese men were arrested. Lubricants, used condoms and about NT$6,600 in cash were also seized as evidence.

The women arrested were being investigated for violating the country’s Immigration Act.
