A Filipino student died four days after she was hit by a car at an intersection in Christchurch, New Zealand. At 9am on September 10, Hannah Ramoso, 28, who had only recently moved to New Zealand to undertake culinary studies at Kiwi Institute of Training and Education in Christchurch, was hit by a car at the intersection of Fitzgerald Avenue and Gloucester Street and suffered critical injuries, NZ Herald reported.

The injured woman was taken to Christchurch Hospital for treatment. However, a police spokeswoman confirmed that Ramoso died on Friday at 11pm from severe brain injuries sustained in the accident.

Two other pedestrians were also involved in the accident and suffered minor to moderate injuries.

Ramoso’s family have set up a Givealittle page to help with hospital costs. More than NZ$16,000 (US$10,500) has been raised so far to help the family.
