A Pakistani man in Dubai has appeared in court after allegedly sneaking into a Filipino woman’s room and molesting her while she was asleep.
According to the 26-year-old waitress, she was asleep around midnight in her company-provided accommodation, which she shares with five other women, when the Pakistani man entered her bedroom and began fondling her, The Filipino Times reported.
When the she woke up, the man, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, rushed from the room. She woke up her roommates and they checked the security footage for the hallway near their rooms.
They were able to identify the suspect and the Filipina filed a complaint at the Al Qusais police station, explaining that the man might have been able to enter her room because she forgot to lock the door.
At the Dubai Court of First Instance, the accused was charged with trespassing, molestation and consuming alcohol without a license. The trial has been adjourned to October 24 and the man remains in custody.
