A seven-year-old Filipino-British girl had her hair cut and donated to a charity that provides wigs to children and young adults with cancer.

Rapha Torres, a Year 2 pupil in Ashington, England, had always had long hair but decided to cut it when she learned that she could donate it to Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs to children and young adults who have lost their hair because of cancer and other illnesses, GMA News reported.

According to Rapha’s mother, who is a nurse and freelance writer, her family is active in church and charity events. At one event called Operation Christmas Child, Rapha donated some of her toys to be sent to less fortunate children all over the world.

“She is really such a sweet and compassionate person,” the girl’s mother said.

Rapha said she planned to grow her hair long enough again so that she can make another donation. She encourages her classmates and friends to do the same.
