A 30-year-old woman’s desperate leap from a moving truck on a flyover in Kowloon, Hong Kong on Thursday was caught by the dashboard camera of a taxi traveling behind the truck.

At 4pm, the woman surnamed Tsang was sitting in the front passenger seat of her boyfriend’s truck which was heading towards Lam Tin on the Kwun Tong Bypass, news website HK01.com reported.

Suddenly, Tsang opened the door and jumped out, falling to the road. She suffered injuries to her neck and arms. The lorry stopped at once and her boyfriend, a 33-year-old Hong Kong man, called the police.

Paramedics arrived and took the woman, who was reportedly in an emotional status, to hospital for treatment.

A dashboard camera of a taxi traveling behind the truck captured the incident, after which the camera footage appears to show the taxi driving on without stopping.

When the woman leapt, she almost cleared the edge of a flyover, which at that point was more than 20 meters high.

After an initial investigation, police said the couple in the truck had been arguing when the woman jumped. The case has been classed as people injured in a road accident during a dispute.
