A 27-year-old Indonesian domestic worker was found dead in her employer’s apartment after allegedly committing suicide on Wednesday morning.
At around 7am, a 79-year-old female employer surnamed Law found that her Indonesian domestic worker had hanged herself in a bedroom at the Long Beach private housing estate in Tai Kwok Tsui, Kowloon, Apple Daily reported.
The employer called the security guard who helped report the case to the police.
When police officers and firemen arrived, the domestic worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officers are investigating the cause of her suicide as no suicide note was foun in the apartment, Oriental Daily reported.
The employer, who was said to be in shock, became unwell and was sent to hospital for medical treatment.
It is understood that the domestic worker had been working for the family for two years and that she had shown no signs of being depressed or upset lately.
