The Malaysian authorities raided an entertainment center in Selangor on Saturday, where a total of 17 Vietnamese masseuses, three Myanmar men and women and a Malaysian man who was the manager of the center were arrested.

In response to citizens’ complaints, officers from the Selangor Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies Division (D7) raided the entertainment center in Bandar Puteri Puchong at 10:40pm on January 19, the Guang Ming Daily (Malaysia) reported.

A pregnant 21-year-old Vietnamese woman was believed to be referring male customers to 16 Vietnamese women who worked in the entertainment center as guest relations officers allegedly providing sexual services.

A 38-year-old Malaysian man who was identified as the entertainment center manager and three male staff who were all Myanmar nationals were also arrested.

A computer hard drive, two microphones, an amplifier, 13 bottles of wine, five receipts and 3,550 ringgit (US$858) in cash were confiscated as evidence.

All of those arrested were taken to the Serdang Police Headquarters for further investigations into alleged violations of their conditions of stay and overstaying.
