Yes, even luxury cars get recalled — Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and BMW, have announced plans to recall of more than 180,000 vehicles due to quality issues.

Beijing Benz Automotive said it will recall 95,694 C-class, E-class and GLC SUV models manufactured in China between October 18, 2016, and April 13, 2018 due to defective steering racks, according to information on the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Some units of imported C-class and E-class Mercedes-Benz cars will also be recalled, the report said.

Porsche will recall more than 50,000 vehicles sold in China due to possible safety hazards. It involves 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster models manufactured between March 2, 2016 and February 14 this year.

It will also recall 34,290 Panamera and Cayenne models produced between September 8 2016 to June 27 2018 to update their instrument cluster software.

BMW, Toyota, Honda and Volkswagen are also among the carmakers that announced vehicle recalls in China amid the Chinese “3.15” Consumer Rights Day.
