A Filipino woman who was visiting San Jose, California, died after being hit by another Filipino driving a vehicle while crossing a street.

On April 11, Marianne Natividad, 48, who was visiting the United States from Dubai, was hit by an SUV driven by Filipina Delilah Paray, 65, ABS-CBN News reported.

Police said Paray stopped to check on Natividad after hitting her, but did not call for help and went back to her car and drove away, leaving Natividad lying on the street. Police said other vehicles may have run over Natividad after she was left on the street.

The Coroner’s Office said Natividad eventually died from her injuries. Paray was arrested after investigators found her vehicle parked on a nearby street. Paray is now detained at the Santa Clara County Jail in San Jose and will be charged with a hit-and-run felony.

A fundraising campaign was launched to help finance the repatriation of Natividad’s remains to Dubai.

  1. Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so
I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the
whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for inexperienced blog writers?
    I’d really appreciate it.

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so
much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a
little bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read.
    I’ll definitely be back.
