A man in Indonesia was arrested by police after allegedly stabbing a shopkeeper who he thought was laughing at him.
On April 10, 24-year-old Hari Almsyah was playing a game on his mobile phone with his friend near the Cimpaeun area in Depok, West Java, The Jakarta Post reported. While they were playing and laughing, the alleged attacker known as N passed by.
N thought Almsyah was lagging at him and scolded him, asking what he had done wrong. He then stabbed Almsyah in the leg, back and abdomen. He left but then returned with a machete and continued his onslaught.
A crowd gathered and restrained the man before he could launch another attack. He was then taken to a police station.
Deddy Kurniawan, the crime unit chief in Depok, confirmed the incident and added that the attacker was being interrogated by the police. The victim received 11 stitches in his leg and two stitches in his abdomen.
