The body of a Filipino migrant worker who was reportedly murdered in Saudi Arabia was returned home to the Philippines allegedly missing its eyes and internal organs.

Lemuel Lansangan, 39, was killed on December 8 last year by a still unidentified perpetrator. According to the victim’s brother, Lansangan might have been tortured before he was killed because there were many bruises on his body, GMA News reported.

On April 3, Lansangan’s remains were brought to his family home in Mangaldan, Pangasinan in the Philippines. The victim’s family said when they saw his remains, his eyes and some internal organs were missing.

“When we opened his coffin, he looked like a mummy. He looked scary because he was tortured,” Lansangan’s brother said.

Lansangan’s family is seeking the government’s help to find justice. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration said they have contacted the Department of Foreign Affairs to investigate the case.
