Police in Indonesia foiled a possible terror plot when they raided a phone store in Bekasi, West Java, on May 8.

Densus 88, the counter-terrorist squad of the Indonesian National Police, conducted the raid at the Wanky Cell shop on Jalan Muchtar Tabrani at about 5 pm on May 8, where they found two pipe bombs, The Jakarta Post reported.

Argo Yuwono, the spokesperson for Jakarta police, said the arrests of terror groups JAD Lampung and JAD Bekasi paved the way for the latest raids. Previously, the Densus 88 team operated in the Babelan and Jatiasih areas where they arrested an alleged terrorist. Another suspect reportedly blew himself up.

Yuwono added the suspect arrested at the Wanky Cell shop was the coordinator of the suspects previously arrested. Apart from the pipe bombs, booster fertilizer, hydrogen chloride, white powder and other types of liquid were also confiscated.

Authorities plan to conduct more raids in the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
